It seems the Northern Territory ladies certainly know how to celebrate a Hens Night in style!

According to the Northern Territory news, the girls celebrating a hens party at the Humpty Doo Hotel in Darwin mistakenly took the coppers for strippers as they responded to a call for reports of disturbance at the hotel.

 The excited girls lunged at the officers trying to take their shirts off when they entered the bar.

Police were called to the hotel late in the night with reports that 10 people were arguing and with the potential for it to turn nasty but when the police entered they were surrounded by excited women instead.

"The girls were in fine form and they nearly had their shirts taken off but they managed to escape with their dignity intact," Senior Sergeant Jorgensen said.


"They were mistaken for strippers - I don't know any strippers that wear accoutrements belts and turn up in a police car," he said.

Throwing a hen party (or a bachelorette party, depending on what side of the world you are on) can be a lot of stress for a maid of honor. 30ml Vodka
15ml Dry Vermouth
15ml Strawberry Liqueur
3 strawberries

Method: Prepare in shaker

Ingredients
4 mint leaves
1 lime (for juicing)
1 teaspoon sugar
60ml white rum
60ml club soda
1 leaf of mint (for garnishing)
Crushed ice

Making a Mojito cocktail

Put the mint leaves into a Collins glass and squeeze the lime juice over them.
Add the sugar and then muddle the mint, lime juice and sugar together. Add crushed ice.
Stir in the rum and top off with the club soda.
Garnish with a mint leaf.

Flirtini
A Girly Martini for Sex and the City Fans and Brides!

Ingredients:
90ml of Champagne
15ml of Vodka
15ml of Orange Liqueur
30ml of Pineapple Juice

Method: On the Rocks
Glass: Collins
Recipe:

1. Mix all ingredients over ice.

Tequila Sunrise

For an exotic Hens Night don’t go past the Tequila Sunrise … our all time favourite!

Ingredients:
60ml Tequila
120ml Orange Juice
22ml Grenadine

Method: Prepare in shaker
Glass: Highball
Recipe:

1. Shake the orange juice and the tequila in a shaker.
2. Pour into a highball glass half filled with ice.
3. Carefully add grenadine syrup so that it falls to the bottom of the glass.
4. Stir a little
5. Garnish with an orange slice or slice of strawberry

Dry Vodka Martini
For the sophisticated Hens Parties!!  This cocktail is strong!! There I no juice or soda I this just pure alcohol … be careful Hens


ngredients:
45ml Vodka
45ml Dry Vermouth
1 Olive

How to make this cocktail

Add the vodka and vermouth together and shake with a number of ice cubes. Strain into a cocktail glass, add the olive and serve.

Strawberry Daiquiri
A light cocktail perfect to start the night off!

Ingredients
45ml light rum
45ml lime juice
10ml strawberry syrup

Making this cocktail

Pour the light rum, lime juice and syrup into a shaker with ice cubes.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Sex on the Beach
This cocktail says it all!  All Hens, Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom and guests should have this delicacy. Why stop at one!!!

Ingredients
1 shot vodka
1 shot peach schnapps
200ml orange juice
200ml cranberry juice
2 shots raspberry syrup

Making this cocktail

First fill the glass with ice and then pour in the shot of vodka. Add peach schnapps and mix with orange and cranberry juices. Finally, add the raspberry syrup.  YUMMMMM!!!
 

The Manhattan
Another Sex and the City classic drink

Ingredients
60ml rye whiskey
15ml sweet vermouth
2 Dashes of Bitter
Maraschino cherry for garnish

Method/Recipe

Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cubes.
Stir well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with the cherry.

Singapore Sling
This is the drink everyone must try once in their life and is therefore perfect for the Bride and her guests to drink this in style at her Hens Night! 

Ingredients:
30ml Benedictine
30ml Gin
30ml Cherry Brandy
120ml Club Soda

Making this cocktail

Fill half of a mixing glass with ice cubes. Combine the gin, Benedictine, and cherry brandy. Stir well, and strain into a Collins glass which is almost filled with ice cubes. Top with the soda and stir again.

Long Island Ice Tea
If you want your Bride to Be to forget her last day of freedom then this is the drink for her!! This cocktail has it all … watch out ladies

Ingredients:

30ml Vodka
30ml Gin
30ml White Rum
30ml Silver Tequila
30ml Triple sec
30ml Bitters
Splash of Coke
8 Ice cubes

Method/ Recipe

In a Highball glass, pour the vodka and gin in a Highball glass. Add the rum, tequila and triple sec.
Add the sweet and sour mix. Add the ice cubes. Shake it several times. Fill a highball glass till the top with ice. Strain the cocktail into this glass. Add the coke, and serve it, garnished with a lemon wedge.

Blue Lagoon
One saucy little cocktail to spice up any Girls Night out!

Ingredients:
30ml vodka
30ml Blue Curacao
Lemonade
1 cherry for garnishing

Method/ Recipe

Pour vodka and the Blue Curacao over ice in a highball glass. Fill with lemonade, top with the cherry, and serve.

Simple Vodka Punch
A softer option for the wedding guests??

1 Bottle Vodka
2 Bottles Dry White Wine
2 Bottles Lemonade
1½ Cartons Orange Juice
Slices of orange on top to decorate.

Harvey Wallbanger

Ingredients
25ml vodka
45ml orange juice
10ml Galliano
Orange slice for garnish
Maraschino cherry for garnish

Making this cocktail

Fill a Collins glass with ice cubes and pour the vodka and orange juice into it
Add the Galliano
Garnish with the orange slice and maraschino cherry

Pink Musketeer

Perfect cocktail for the ladies who like a fruity drink without being too sweet.

Ingredients:
355 ml of Vodka
355 ml of Lemonade
227 grams of Lychees
1 cup of Strawberries

Method: On the Rocks
Glass: Collins
Recipe:

1. Pour a whole tin of Lychees (including the syrup) and a punnet of strawberries into a blender.
2. Add the Vodka
3. Blend the ingredients, pour into a glass 3/4 fill over ice and top with Lemonade
4. Garnish with a slice of strawberry and a leaf of mint

While Jen is off to find her perfect dress, Reality TV star Kim Kardashian let her hair down and celebrated her final days as a single girl on Saturday night with a huge Bachelorette Party in Las Vegas (Bachelorette Party Capital!). Champagne, shots and a stripping dwarf were all part of the wild celebrations.
